Company Summary

About eQ Technologic:

eQ’s platform for enterprise information infrastructure, eQube®, establishes a Digital Backbone of integrated applications and provides enterprise-wide visibility leading to Actionable Insight.  eQube offerings in the market are: eQube-BI (also marketed as Teamcenter Reporting & Analytics or ‘TcRA’) for enterprise-wide Business Intelligence and eQube-MI for application migration, synchronization, and integration.

In the PLM context, eQube-BI/TcRA is tightly integrated with Teamcenter and Active Workspace for visibility / analytics that can be extended to enterprise-wide visibility.  eQube-MI integrates Teamcenter with other systems (ERP, ALM, CAPP, MES, ESM, etc.).  In addition, eQube-MI synchronizes legacy systems with Teamcenter leading to orderly migration of legacy systems.

eQube-BI (or TcRA) is a revolutionary solution for “Rapid-BI”.  It rapidly collates and aggregates data from disparate systems in a single cube for enterprise-wide visibility leading to Actionable Insight and knowledge.  Due to its underlying open, flexible, and scalable architecture, inherent “in-memory analytics” and “in-context BI” capabilities, eQube-BI effectively addresses the challenges of Big Data analytics.

eQube-MI is a next generation application integration platform that establishes a Digital Backbone of integrated applications.  It is a single platform that efficiently addresses application integration, synchronization, and migration challenges.  In addition, eQube-MI based application integration infrastructure can be readily extended for secure, scalable, and robust information collaboration across networks, partners, suppliers, and customers that are geographically dispersed.

eQube-MI represents ‘Not only ESB’ integration architecture.  Based on the use case, eQube-MI can be used to build integration solution conforming to either ESB type integration or a loosely coupled application-to-application type integration or API gateway type integration; hence ‘Not only ESB’

eQube-TM provides unprecedented capabilities to establish a knowledgebase of simple/complex maps and rule-based transformations between disparate systems.  This knowledgebase is leveraged by all eQube offerings for application integration, synchronization, and migration.  In addition, eQube-TM allows customers to transition away from other BI offerings to eQube-BI.

eQube-DP assesses data quality and provides data correction /repair capabilities.  It interrogates the data in legacy systems / enterprise systems to understand its ‘quality’.  It identifies anomalies, similarities, and patterns in the data.  Such qualification of data then can be used not only to correct and repair the data, but also as an essential step in establishing transformation rules for application migration and integration.

To-date eQube has been very well received in the market place (hundreds of world-wide customers) in the following industries: Aerospace & Defense, Automotive & Machinery, Ship Building, High-tech, and CPG among others.  Some of the key customers include: Lockheed Martin Aero (on the prestigious F-35 program), Baxter Healthcare, BAE Systems – MAI (Typhoon), BAE Systems – Marine (Successor submarine program), Boeing, L-3 (multiple divisions), Rolls-Royce, Siemens AG, ATK Launch Systems, General Dynamics (multiple divisions), Northrop Grumman (multiple sectors), SS/L, ULA, P&G, Intel, Visteon, MTU, Honeywell-Aero, Best-Buy, Dyson, Alstom Transport, among others.

eQ’s customers are adopting eQube platform based solutions because the various eQube offerings individually and collectively address core business issues comprehensively, such as: BI in PLM, enterprise-wide BI (in-memory analytics leading to Big Data analytics), application synchronization for orderly migration of legacy systems, data quality assessment, correction / repair; secure information collaboration, establishment of a comprehensive and robust application integration infrastructure, and enterprise-wide business process orchestration.

Partner Presentations
Title: Using eQube-MI Across Air Gapped Systems
Primary Presenter: Scott Riggs [Sr Staff Analyst - Lockheed Martin Aeronautics]
Date & Time: May 09, 2017 03:45 PM
Location: 201

Design and execution of a Teamcenter 10 implementation.  Focus of the presentation is how eQube-MI was used to implement specific business process requirements requiring collaboration across air gapped Teamcenter instances.  I will address design and use of the system and the associated business process impacts.

Title: Migrating to Teamcenter – approach using eQube® Platform
Primary Presenter: Rahul Bhagwat [Director - Customer Engagements - eQ Technologic]
Date & Time: May 10, 2017 10:15 AM
Location: 110

eQube is a richly-featured comprehensive platform geared to address organization-wide Business Intelligence (BI) needs as well as the complex enterprise application data migration and integration (MI) needs.

eQube® offerings in the market are: eQube®-BI for enterprise-wide Business Intelligence and eQube®-MI for application migration, synchronization, and integration.  Additionally, eQube®-TM and eQube®-DP provide core capabilities for modeling systems in support of application migration / integration, ‘cube’ migration, and for data quality assessment, correction / repair.

eQ has developed a eQube platform based revolutionary approach for effectively addressing migration and integration problem in the PLM space. This methodology has five phases, denoted as “I” “E” “T” “L” “V”. While implementing this methodology, eQube-BI is used for addressing data identification, data profiling and data validation challenges whereas eQube-MI addresses the complex data quality, data correction-repair, data migration & integration challenges.

This approach provides the following key benefits:

  • Data identification and profiling builds a strong foundation for robust data mapping and transformation rules
  • Migrating source system(s) data to TcUA can be achieved by one of the following approaches:
    • Big bang
    • Migration by business functions/domains and co-existence
    • Migration by time slices and co-existence with recent data
  • Bi-directional data synchronization for longer co-existence depending on key business drivers
  • Data validation across entire migration life-cycle.

Title: Transitioning Engineering at ULA to Teamcenter PLM using eQube Platforms
Primary Presenter: Michael Przekwas [Sr. Manager, PLM Program Manager - United Launch Alliance]
Date & Time: May 09, 2017 08:45 AM
Location: Sagamore Ballroom 3 - 7

United Launch Alliance (ULA) has successfully completed a large project to consolidate two different legacy systems for engineering configuration and change management to Teamcenter. ULA’s Atlas and Delta rocket programs have over 100 years of history, and with that comes a huge amount of engineering drawings, models, parts, BOMS, notes and other material, with a large variety of formats and maturity.. This project was phase 2 of a multiyear modernization and optimization program to improve downstream consumption.

ULA used the eQube MI platform to migrate from their legacy applications, file systems and oracle tables to Teamcenter 10.1. ULA used “Bulk-Load” and “Delta” approach using multiple eQube-MI threads to migrate to Teamcenter. With Bulk-Load approach, all this data was migrated within a very reasonable time with high accuracy

ULA is also using eQBI (Tc Reports and Analysis- TCRA) extensively for reporting directly from Teamcenter as well as several other integrated sources. These reports are used throughout engineering and at the factory and launch site to enable ULA’s mission: America’s Ride to Space.
