Round Table Sessions
Partner Presentations
Title: AI and Real-Time Analytics with Teamcenter and the IoT
Primary Presenter: Deleted User
Date & Time: Jun 05, 2018 02:00 PM
Abstract:

Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have been the talk of the town worldwide for a few years now. How can we leverage the wealth of data created by the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide revolutionary, cross-disciplinary analytics? Join Maya HTT as we explore how connecting data with the right communities and enabling ML/AI can enable your enterprise to visualize otherwise imperceptible relations between different branches of their business. We will discuss what is all the hype about; assessing your organization’s AI-readiness level; technological enablement considerations; and customer use cases.

Title: Leveraging TC Office Client to import ECAD BOMs
Primary Presenter: Deleted User
Secondary Presenter: Deleted User
Date & Time: Jun 07, 2018 11:40 AM
Abstract:

Mans products include not only mechanical parts but also electronic components and sometimes embedded software. Most companies using Teamcenter have successfully integrated their CAD system with Teamcenter, but many have not yet integrated their ECAD software, creating large gaps of information in product BOMs and engineering data.

An efficient solution is to bring the EBOMs into Teamcenter using the Teamcenter Office Client's Microsoft Excel import capability. Most ECAD tools can export an Excel parts list, which can then be imported into Teamcenter. Merging this with the CAD BOM allows for a complete product BOM that can be sent to procurement.

Title: Learn How Simcenter 3D is Transforming the Healthcare Engineering Process
Primary Presenter: Mark Edwards [Sr. Expert. Research & Development - Siemens Healthineers]
Secondary Presenter: Deleted User
Date & Time: Jun 05, 2018 04:00 PM
Abstract:

Details will be provided on how Simcenter 3D was used to provide predictive analysis that impacted the design, promoting collaboration between individuals and teams involved in designs (promoting faster design cycles, learning and closing knowledge gaps). One key element of the strategy was using NX CAD to develop simulation data while managing all of it in the Teamcenter environment. Benefits included early access to enhanced design data for multiple physical domains: mechanical, thermal, fluid dynamics, acoustics and electronics. This was a drastic change from when simulation was conducted with nonintegrated tools by isolated specialists.

Title: Delving into Electro Mechanical Integration
Primary Presenter: Deleted User
Secondary Presenter: Deleted User
Date & Time: Jun 04, 2018 02:00 PM
Abstract:

With the end-to-end integration of electrical, electronic and mechanical aspects of design, users can now work in a fully synchronized environment from initial design to manufacture. We will take a look at the integration of Mentor Xpedition with NX PCB Exchange, demonstrating the productivity benefits of synchronizing PCB data across multiple disciplines. The collaboration can also be taken outside the design domain with an overview and demonstration of ELMA, the lightweight visualization tool for schematic, PCB layout and 3D CAD with full cross-probing and mark-up.

Title: Electro-mechanical design review with ELMA
Primary Presenter: Deleted User
Secondary Presenter: Deleted User
Date & Time: Jun 06, 2018 11:40 AM
Abstract:

The focus of this session will be to demonstrate how ELMA (Electrical Logical Mechanical Application) enables designers and engineers from different domains to rapidly and efficiently collaborate on ECAD/MCAD design reviews. The objective is also present the difficulties in maintaining multi-CAD design consistency through the complete design cycle, that ELMA can easily verify.

Title: ECAD/MCAD collaboration and analysis with NX PCB Exchange
Primary Presenter: Deleted User
Secondary Presenter: Deleted User
Date & Time: Jun 06, 2018 01:00 PM
Abstract:

In this session, we will see how the collaboration between Mentor Xpedition and NX can enhance ECAD/MCAD co-design through NX PCB Exchange and allow automatic board level thermal simulation. The objective is to demonstrate the exchange process, best practices, and general workflow suggestions as the core of our presentation with a PCB design use case.

Title: NX: Developing NX Open Applications with Python
Primary Presenter: PLM World
Date & Time: Jun 04, 2018 01:00 PM
Abstract: This session will address several topics related to NX Open application development in Python, including: debugging journals, using your own distribution of Python, dealing with threaded third party packages and managing multiple versions of applications.

Title: FEMAP: Intro to the New FEMAP Thermal/Flow Capabilities
Primary Presenter: PLM World
Date & Time: Jun 05, 2018 10:15 AM
Abstract: The Femap 11.4.2 release includes significant enhancements to the Femap Thermal, Advanced Thermal and Flow products, including a completely new user interface, improved model setup and postprocessing workflows, expanded solver capabilities, and the introduction of parallel processing.  This sessions will provide a hands-on demonstration of the new features and capabilities.

Title: NX: Using NX Open to Store User-Specific Data in Part Files
Primary Presenter: PLM World
Date & Time: Jun 06, 2018 09:15 AM
Abstract: This hands-on session will demonstrate different techniques to store generic user data into NX part files. Ultimately, users will be able to store complete Python class instances in NX part files.
