Company Information

SQS Software Quality Systems is the world's leading specialist in software quality. This position and its expertise stem from more than 30 years of successful consultancy operation. Over this period of time, the company has also developed a strong quality and test management methodology, and extensive specialist knowledge in many vertical markets.

Siemens PLM has chosen to work with SQS to ensure that Teamcenter remains highly effective when customized, updated or integrated with other software solutions.  As a trusted and expert partner for over seven years, SQS has worked with Siemens PLM to build the Teamcenter Test Automation Framework that helps Siemens PLM automate a significant portion of the regression test suite (so far, over 5,500 test cases have been run over 60,000 times) validating the base Teamcenter product release, as well as any patch.  In addition, SQS assists Siemens in performing functional testing of all Teamcenter maintenance releases.  SQS currently has over 120 Teamcenter subject matter experts, beginning from early UGS Teamcenter Engineering through as-yet-to-be-released Teamcenter Unified 10.1.

SQS is now applying this knowledge gained over many years to generate added value for Siemens PLM users and offer comprehensive PLM software testing services.  This allows Siemens PLM customers to benefit from a proven, industrialized and unique software testing capability.  SQS brings all of its standard offerings, such as Quality Management, Test Management, Test Automation, Functional Testing, and Performance Testing, and uniquely applies them to PLM deployments.  For example, we recently helped a major Siemens customer analyze the performance of its global multi-site Teamcenter implementation.

The Teamcenter Test Automation Framework is also available to Siemens’ customers, who can benefit from reliable and scalable automated testing of Teamcenter installations, helping minimize downtime and ensure quality. At the same time, it ensures optimal testing coverage, shortens release cycles, reduces the risk of costly software failures and alleviates pressure on internal teams. Automated regression testing also enables reliable and quick business-critical functionality to be maintained when Siemens PLM Software updates and patches are applied.

SQS brings a wealth of software testing experience, and the SQS experts have already delivered benefits to major companies using Siemens PLM products. With the Test Automation FaQtory and Test Asset Optimization, SQS brings complete “Quality Circle" to the Siemens PLM ecosystem.

Title: Adapt or Die - Adopting the Digital Thread
Primary Presenter: Deleted User
Date & Time: Jun 05, 2018 11:15 AM
Abstract:

Manufacturers have more data than ever, but many are finding that it is stuck in silos. To combat this issue, manufacturers need to weave a digital thread of information across the entire business and its extended enterprise. Management is now finding itself in the position of “adapt or die,” where adopting the digital thread is vital to the future of the business.

Software quality is at the core of the digital thread, and manufacturers are looking to implement it to ensure they have an effective quality management regime which covers the entire software lifecycle – from requirements validation to production monitoring.
