Primary Presenter Biography: I started out as a consultant using SDRC's CAD application I-deas working for the VAR Integrated Systems Technologies recruted directly from Michigan Technological University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. At that time, my responsibilities included design, training, and general customer assistance.

With the acquisition of SDRC and Unigraphics Solutions by EDS-PLM, I had the opportunity to then expand my knowledge into the world of Unigraphics and Teamcenter Engineering because of that strong VAR relationship with EDS-PLM.

In my current role as a Siemens PLM Consultant I am responsible for the implementation of Product Lifecycle Managment. I have extensive experience with both Teamcenter Engineering and Teamcenter Unified Architecture. Those implementations have been both 2-Tier and 4-Tier, some consisting of multiple sites with a myriad of CAD applications.

I have implemented integrations for: I-deas, NX, CATIA V4 & V5, Solid Edge, ProE, AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, & Solid Works.

Abstract:  Managing CAD data and processes was already complex enough when everyone was co-located. Now with so many different CAD systems and multiple OEMs spread across global sites and suppliers, this task has become a nightmare. Working within a multi-CAD environment is the new reality and effectively managing that information across the extended enterprise has become the new challenge.

At Tata Technologies, we are helping companies to take all of the disparate islands of information and put them into a Product Centric Environment (Teamcenter), then presenting this information back in a logical and easy to use system. The objective is to gather product information in single place where it can be found quickly and easily. Our round table discussion will focus integrating various CAD packages with Teamcenter and lessons learned around each including Content Migration Manager (I-deas to NX). We will also discuss and demonstrate how to work seamlessly within a multi-CAD environment. The focus CAD packages will include: I-deas, Creo, SolidWorks, and CATIA V5.
