Primary Presenter Biography: Tom Kalkman is a Product Manager within the Siemens PLM Software product development organization, focusing on quality planning and validation software solutions. Mr. Kalkman has over 20 years of industry experience in various roles including application support, product training, product development, and product management. He is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering.
Co-Presenter Biorgraphy: Sundar is the Director of Development for Tecnomatix Quality solutions. He holds a Masters of Mechanical Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and has 25 years of experience in CAD/CAE and manufacturing applications.

Abstract:  Variation Analysis can significantly reduce the time for new product introduction by identifying and minimizing assembly problems related to tolerances and manufacturing processes. Implementation benefits include improved product quality, improved design productivity, and reduced number of physical prototypes. This presentation will provide an overview of Variation Analysis (aka VSA), a demonstration of new software features and future direction.
