Abstract:  Bentley Systems and Siemens PLM Software have been working on a bold new vision to integrate the product, manufacturing and facilities engineering lifecycles, to present the next innovation in digital manufacturing, facility engineering and optimization.
The new offering will harmonize the digital and physical worlds sharing an up-to-date Digital Twin between these environments using point clouds, photogrammetry images and JT geometry

In this live demonstration, you will see how production engineering can evaluate the a new layout within an existing factory environment using both digital photos to determine the options and laser scans for precise measurement. Sharing the same data centric model – the digital twin (rather than 2D drawings), the new layout can be quickly evaluated by the AEC consultant to determine viability of the proposed locations. Enabling Production Management to make a fast decision about the proposed new production assembly plans. The demonstration will finish with the digital twin data centric environment being used by the team to quickly install the new equipment, get production started and bring the new product to market faster.
