The Midwest RUG conference was held at Applied CIM Technologies in Plymouth, MN to a standing room only crowd. Beautiful facilities and wonderful hosts. The keynote speaker was Joe Vanstrom from Iowa Western Community College speaking on, Averting the Crisis, how to replace the aging workforce. There were wonderful networking opportunities throughout the day. John Baker of Siemens PLM gave another well received presentation on what’s new in NX, followed by some great Tips and Tricks. The other concurrent breakouts were; Academic Focus Group, Solid Edge and Teamcenter. After the morning sessions, that were all nicely attended, a nice Italian lunch was served with more networking opportunities. After lunch there were 6 break-outs. NX CAD, NX CAM, CAE/Simulation, Solid Edge, Teamcenter and Training. Door prizes wrapped up the conference. Attendees seemed to be very happy with the conference and its content.
