Announcing PLM University 2013

27 February 2013

The PLM Board of Directors and the Management Special Interest Group (SIG) are happy to announce an exciting new opportunity for our Management Members and Partners during the 2013 Siemens PLM Connection Americas Conference.

In 2012 we had success with a new concept called PLM University that was established under the Management SIG.  In these sessions our users were presented with an overview and potential capability in the PLM domain.  In 2013 we will build upon that foundation and leverage another success point, our round table discussions, and deliver PLM University as a series of interactive panel discussions.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

OUR MANAGEMENT USERS

OUR PARTNERS

Our goal is to give our Management users direct engagement with solution providers with relevant success in their areas of need.  We hope this negagement will provide both knowledge and future partnerships to increase the capability of your PLM installation.

Managers who are in the midst of planning or executing PLM implementations will gain tremendous insight from the topics covered. In addition, Management Connection will provide an excellent forum for discussing the business implications of PLM, and networking with senior Siemens PLM Solution architects.

To provide additional value to our partners, we will be giving you the opportunity to sign up to be one of the panel participants.  We feel this is an ideal way for our user base to gain additional knowledge of the PLM domain and to connect with the Siemens ecosystem.  In particular, we want you to showcase your PLM expertise and success to provide added value to those in attendance at the upcoming conference.

HOW IT WORKS

Each panel participant will have no more than 6 minutes to present a business summary and three to four overview slides to showcase actual solutions in place within the Siemens customer base.  Remember the audience is Managers; therefore technical detail is not necessary.  The intent is to provide a starting point for the follow on discussions.  Participants are encouraged to bring a representative from their partner company to join in on the discussion.

After the conclusion of the presentations, the discussion with be opened with the pre-determined questions, or any questions from the audience.  As the discussion gains momentum it will take its own path within the discussion topic.

Panel participants are asked to realize that the panel discussions are intended to broaden the understanding of the user community.  We expect some friendly banter amongst the panel; however, we will monitor the discussions to ensure that they never get out of hand.

We look forward to you joining us in PLM University 2013.

Please contact me with any questions or suggestions.
