Is Cloud in your PLM Forecast?

Cloud-PLM.fw.pngThere has been a lot of interest in Cloud apps and capabilities for the enterprise lately. Many of you may already be using Cloud in some form or another – some popular examples like GoogleDoc, Microsoft’s SkyDrive, and DropBox. There’s also a lot of chatter about cloud for PLM applications on the internet lately.

Is your company ready for PLM on the Cloud?

Cloud implementations, whether it is ERP, PLM, or CAD can provide a lot of flexibility and scalability for large and small organizations. Comparing costs alone is not enough to make a sound business case for putting PLM on the cloud; there are many factors to consider like accessibility to the Cloud by your suppliers and / or customers, protecting intellectual property, and global collaboration constraints due to US export restrictions.

So how do you know if PLM on the Cloud is the right "forecast" for your company? If you are already registered for the Siemens PLM Connection conference in Orlando, you will find yourself in good company. Siemens PLM Vice President CTO Dave Mitchell and Sandra Coleman, Director Global Partner Solutions Strategy and Process will kick things off with Teamcenter on the Cloud, followed by several other presentations on this topic (see times and locations below). You will also have a chance to meet others who are seeking information and some who are happy to share their experience  in this arena.

There are plenty of sessions covering wide ranging topics about Cloud-based solutions and implementations of Teamcenter and other Siemens PLM software at the Siemens PLM Conference listed below. Be sure to add them to your PLMWorld mobile app agenda.

Not attending the conference? There is still time to take advantage of some discounts - but hurry as they will expire June 1st before prices go up.
