Conference Numbers Exceeding Expectations

While we are all excited and eager to arrive in Las Vegas, Nevada for this year’s Siemens PLM Connection, we must not be deceived by the intriguing atmosphere of the location. Rest assured that the work going into this year’s conference is nothing but serious, despite the fun and relaxed city the conference will be held in.
We at PLM World are anticipating a great turnout for the 2011 Siemens PLM Connection event. With early bird registration not over until March 20, 2011, we have seen a great growth in registration numbers. Hotel booking is looking to be impressive as well, with the extension of the discount for booking your hotel room early, the Rio is filling up fast. With these current numbers we can only anticipate further progress in attendee registration numbers and with more attendees there is more potential for the exchange of ideas and information; making the overall conference a greater success.
The response to the extension for call of papers this year was outstanding. PLM World received more abstracts this year than any previous year. While we are extremely delighted that users are eager to participate in this conference, there is only limited time for presentations and the submitted abstracts must be read, sort through and decided upon. This is no easy task, and with the quantity and quality of the submitted abstracts getting higher each year, it is becoming a bigger challenge to sort through and decide on the final agenda. With a great deal of credit going to PLM World Technical Director Tom Both, and the PLM World special interest group leaders (SIG’s) a preliminary agenda has been determined. The agenda is posted on the event website, so you can go ahead and start planning your valuable time at the conference now. Also don’t forget about the optional high value training sessions Friday May 6, which tend to sell out quickly so be sure to sign up early.
PLM World is delighted to announce that we have not only reached but surpassed the partner goal for the 2011 conference and are still working hard to sign even more companies. You may recognize some familiar faces from past conferences as well as some new ones. The companies that have taken advantage of our Deluxe Conference Partnership as of now are: CSC, TATA Technologies, VMH International, BCT Technology, HP, TESIS PLMware USA, Microsoft, Saratech, Inc., eQ Technologic, Maya HTT Ltd., Dell, Deloitte Consulting, LLP, IBM and CoreTech Systems (Moldex3D). All of our partners are extremely important to the success of our conference. Without their financial support and participation in our organization we would not be able to provide the caliber of experience you have come to know and expect at this conference. Be sure to recognize their valuable contribution by visiting our partners in the exhibit hall throughout the day on Monday and Tuesday, and take note of the benefits they can offer your company.
There are many networking opportunities available throughout the conference. We are excited to officially bring back one of the favorites: PLM World Annual Golf Tournament. The Golf Tournament is offered to promote interaction between attendees, partners and hosts of Siemens PLM Connection. Space is very limited so if you are interested be sure to check out the golf tournament page for further information. Because of the exciting location of this year’s conference we understand some attendees may be interested in bringing a travel companion or their families, we have compiled some of the many activities Las Vegas has to offer, for your guest to stay entertained while you attend the conference at http://event.plmworld.org/hotel-travel/attraction-information-for-travel-companions-and-families/.
We hope you are as excited as we are about the 2011 Siemens PLM Connection. Be sure to frequently check the event website http://event.plmworld.org/, for the most up to date information regarding the conference. We look forward to seeing you in May!
