Geoff Lydon from Zuken directly shared his experience at the conference:
This is my 6th year attending PLM Connection and it’s been another great event for Zuken. Vegas offered a nice escape from the tornadoes and storms we’ve been seeing across Alabama and much of the south. Attendance was way up and we definitely saw that on the exhibit floor, with attendees milling around even during “off” hours. It's a wonder they didn't wander off to the casino, but the agenda offered so many good sessions, it kept them all around.
Our big news is the recent enhanced integration between our own E3.series and Siemens Teamcenter. E3.series is our electrical design tool for schematic and wire harness design that integrates directly with NX Routing. The enhanced integration enables complete management of design data in Teamcenter, similar to what's already available in the mechanical world.
Anything that moves
Many of our customers come from the machinery industry as well as what we sometimes refer to as “planes, trains and automobiles”, basically, anything that moves. In the last couple of days, we’ve seen attendees from all of those industries and more. The really interesting thing to see is the increased interest in mechatronics, which is right where we fit in with Siemens Teamcenter.
All in all, time well spent. Have a look at video from our booth on the show site.
