Traditionally, we have used this newsletter as an opportunity to share information about our implementation experiences with other PLM users. Today, we would like to share some exciting news regarding our Mercury Marine PLM deployment and external consulting practice, Mercury PLM Services, as well as opportunities for PLM World members to interact with us more in the future.
PM100 Award Winner—Innovation Mastery
First, we would like to announce that the Mercury Marine PLM implementation has won the 2011 PM100 Award for the Innovation Mastery category. Our team appreciates this honor from Managing Automation as well as the opportunity to have hosted more than 80 companies that have visited our facility to benchmark the Mercury Marine PLM implementation.
Information Exchange—April 14
Second, Mercury PLM Services is hosting its first Information Exchange on April 14. Attendees can register for an on-site or on-line opportunity to exchange insights with our experts on topics ranging from how to start a PLM transformation project and how PLM has benefited new product program teams to Teamcenter 8.3 implementation and CAD integration tips. PLM World 2011
In addition to again being a PLM World exhibitor and partner, two of our experts will be track presenters at the 2011 PLM World Conference.
Rajkumar Sundaram will present a case study on ‘Best Practices for Teamcenter Site Consolidation’. His discussion will describe how Mercury Marine defined and executed a site consolidation project to merge one of our sites. Raj will cover business process and technical aspects of site consolidation.
Bala Shetty will discuss ‘Best Practices for Pro/Engineer Integration with Teamcenter’. Topics covered include how to manage design data from concept through production, large assembly management processes, IPEM lessons learned, and different modeling techniques followed within Pro/E for management in Teamcenter.
Mercury PLM Services will also conduct a 40-minute partner presentation session during PLM World. The informational topic will be announced closer to the conference.
