Want to get involved at a higher level?

Well we would like to hear from you. PLM World is always looking for users from the community to step up and volunteer for positions. This organization could not survive without the many volunteers that keep it going. What opportunities are available:

Board of Directors. The board of directors revolves every few years, depending on the position. Each one is different, with some requiring more of a commitment than others. For these positions, we look to people that have already given some service as either a SIG or RUG leader.

SIG leader. The people we seek as Special Interest Group leaders are people that are experts in their field. This is usually the first step in volunteering for our organization, and a great way to get to know the rest of your community. You will work directly with other users, as well as develop a one-on-one relationship with the SPLM product managers. The commitment is generally two years, and will require a few hours of your time per week in the off season, and a little more as we get closer to conference time. There are benefits for your company as well in supporting you to hold this position.

Conference and general assistance. Besides all of the official leaders of PLM World, we are always in need of volunteers that don't have as much time to give. This could be everything from helping at the conference by hosting sessions or helping with registration, or by helping us year round by assisting with gathering newsletter articles, or content for our website.
