Description:

Session is envisioned to be broken down into 2 sections:

1) A few slide presentation consisting of the following:

  • Example with explanation of the content & format being provided to the shop floor for fabrication / assembly of parts. This will include how the design model is taken and work instructions produce for the shop floor
  • Functionality utilized to develop an instruction in terms of what was “out of the box” vs customized by our company to meet the business needs. (This includes challenges & cultural challenges faced)
  • Future vision (Next Steps) & Improvements seeking in the future
  • Session would be Electric Boat presenting a example of the format & content included in work

2) Q&A and industry best practice sharing

Learning Objectives: How is industry integrating MBE and its delivery to the shop floor and common future software requirements requested by industry.
Applicable Software: CAD Integrations (NX, CATIA, Solidworks, Creo, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc), JT (Usage Scenarios), NX for Manufacturing, Teamcenter BOM Management, Teamcenter Visualization
Pre-requisites: Users that are involved in instruction generation for their companies utilizing MPP or other product suites to develop work instruction for the shop floor.
Our company is also proposing another track titled “TA Electronic Design Disclosures”. I would request this session be scheduled back to back with the other presentation if selected. i.e. the “TA Electronic Design Disclosures” one go 1st for 45min then this presentation go for another 45min block.
