Replacing the Thin Client: A User's Perspective

Track: Teamcenter User Connection

Session Number: 170057
Date: Wed, May 10th, 2017
Time: 2:30 PM - 3:15 PM
Room: 206

Description:

This presentation will cover the obstacles and successes experienced while working to set up an Active Workspace (AW) environment with the goal of using it to replace all Teamcenter Unified (TcUA) Thin Client Use Cases.  The use cases for the initial deployment focused specifically on basic search, view and signoff.  The task of replacing the thin client use cases is notable because while the use cases are very simple, they tackle the building blocks of PLM functionality.  The process presented a unique opportunity to replace an application rather than adding yet another for users to select from and administrators to manage.  The presentation will also cover the continuing path for deploying added AW functionality and toolset replacement.
