Model-Based Quality End-to-End Engineering Demonstration (Live Demo)

Track: NX CAM and Tecnomatix User Connection

Session Number: 170674
Date: Tue, May 9th, 2017
Time: 2:45 PM - 3:30 PM
Room: 211

Description:

This live software and hardware demo shows how Siemens PMI-driven MBQ Solution can help improve the taste of your coffee by fixing one design issue and one build issue. Some customers are complaining coffee made by the Siemens EQ.7 Espresso Machine being too bitter. An FMEA and VSA study identifies the root causes, makes design changes and creates a control plan that includes both FAI and production measurement plans.  NX CMM is then used to generate inspection programs directly from the released master model. A manual wireless caliper and an automated small CMM machine are used for measuring parts from the line, and DPV is used to monitor real-time build quality and troubleshoot a build issue during prototyping.  CAPA is used to track the build issue until the problem is fixed.
