Teamcenter Manufacturing Performance Considerations

Track: Deployment Excellence Connection

Session Number: 170353
Date: Mon, May 8th, 2017
Time: 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM
Room: 202

Description:

In this session we will dive into key common areas to the PLM Manufacturing community using Manufacturing Process Planner (MPP) and provide insights into key tools and configurations available for optimizing the MPP performance. Throughout the session we will understand how settings can help in addressing some of the performance challenges. This session will focus on Process Planning use-cases to illustrate some of the options available to optimize performance and usability. We will bring up Teamcenter and demonstrate how MPP can be optimized through various options from establishing and profiling the Process Planning KPIs through key configuration scenarios to some usability aspects which can benefit the user’s community and help improve the user’s experience; Furthermore We will bring up some updates of the latest performance and scalability studies we have conducted in the Siemens PLM labs focusing on key heavy hitters and their profiling
Session Type: Interactive Lecture

Related Industry: All Industries
Learning Objectives: 1. Providing the latest update on performance studies in context of Teamcenter Manufacturing use cases focusing on very common use-cases which you can relate to as a Teamcenter deployment project manager or architect.
2. Share with the audience the latest insights into the Manufacturing Process Planning (MPP) “DOs and Don’ts” performance configurations and capabilities thus touching areas of sensitivities and scalability to be aware of.
3.Provide basic techniques / “know how” to develop and profile your heavy hitters while demonstrating it in the actual tools – this is highly recommended to be leveraged on-site during your deployment phases and can be helpful in assessing how your the user experience is going to be.
