Transitioning from Drawings to PMI Live Demo

Track: NX Product Engineering User Connection

Session Number: 170039
Date: Wed, May 10th, 2017
Time: 10:15 AM - 11:00 AM
Room: 144

Description:

I plan to show the process of taking a fully defined 2D drawing and converting that to a PMI model.  My demonstration will include explaining why and how to filter off unnecessary annotation.  I will also explain how the model is still fully defined with limited annotation and will cover tolerancing and the use of GD&T with PMI.  I will use NX (10) to demonstrate the tools used to annotate a model and will cover tips and tricks to certain tools.  Throughout my demonstration, I will compare the PMI model back to the 2D drawing showing the advantages of PMI.  I will also include periods throughout the presentation for questions.
