Using NX for Rapid Creative Product Design

Track: NX Product Engineering User Connection

Session Number: 170255
Date: Wed, May 10th, 2017
Time: 1:30 PM - 2:15 PM
Room: 143

Description:

Consolidated Container Company makes makes high volume plastic bottles for a variety of markets, from dairy/juice bottles to complicated industrial parts.

I will step through a suggested creative product development workflow involving Siemens PLM tools, mainly for 3D modeling using NX10.

We will explore hand sketching and the new CatchBook in 2D, how to import that geometry into NX, how can Synchronous Modeling, X-Form and Realize Shape technology help to convert the 2D design intent.

We will show how to use 3D while evolving the design to be manufacturable while achieving the correct dimensional and volumetric target.

We will explore how the new NX11 features can assist in the workflow process.
