From CAD Model To Closed Loop Quality with PMI

The products that the manufacturing industry is asked to deliver are becoming more and more complex. The manufacturing supply chain is more complex. The economic pressures they face are more complex. They are asked to do more with less. To cut costs and deliver faster than ever before. And to meet the diverse expectations of a global customer base.

This presentation will show how a closed loop quality lifecycle can be achieved by using Teamcenter, QMS, NX and BCT Inspector. It can extract (critical) characteristics from PMI (Product Manufacturing Information) and provide them downstream to QMS. In QMS Inspection Planning PMI and critical chraracteristics can be combined into one inspection plan. This plan will be sent to and executed on the shop floor. Potential complaints, which are showing up, will be sent to the quality engineers to investigate the root cause and to define actions to prevent them.
Linking them back to FMEA will prevent their reoccurence.
