PPG – A Cross Industry Perspective
“All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way” thus opens Leo Tolstoy’s novel Anna Karenina. If Mr. Tolstoy had written a book about program management in products organizations, the lead character for that novel might have stated “all successful programs are alike; each failed program fails in its own way”.  Whereas each industry has a different approach to program planning and governance, several dimensions are common to all: the program starts with a concept, is planned and executed by people, and delivers a product (and or service). With that premise in mind, this presentation will discuss how program management techniques developed by certain industries could be utilized by other industries to increase program success (and happiness).
