Effective program planning and execution is a collaborative effort between planning teams and product development teams that results in a clearly defined scope of work that is balanced against and can be delivered within a targeted time frame. However, many organizations experience a disconnect between these two functions and the resultant plan turns out to be short on the time frame and long on the scope of work. The new Program Planning application in Teamcenter delivers a simple approach to top-down, enterprise-wide coordination of long-term, cross-functional product development initiatives to ensure timely delivery of product definition data and final product builds. This session will introduce the application to the PLM World community and demonstrate the best practices to support program planning and governance in complex, fast-paced, agile environments.
