Description:

United Launch Alliance (ULA) has successfully completed a large project to consolidate two different legacy systems for engineering configuration and change management to Teamcenter. ULA’s Atlas and Delta rocket programs have over 100 years of history, and with that comes a huge amount of engineering drawings, models, parts, BOMS, notes and other material, with a large variety of formats and maturity.. This project was phase 2 of a multiyear modernization and optimization program to improve downstream consumption.

 

ULA used the eQube MI platform to migrate from their legacy applications, file systems and oracle tables to Teamcenter 10.1. ULA used “Bulk-Load” and “Delta” approach using multiple eQube-MI threads to migrate to Teamcenter. With Bulk-Load approach, all this data was migrated within a very reasonable time with high accuracy

 

ULA is also using eQBI (Tc Reports and Analysis- TCRA) extensively for reporting directly from Teamcenter as well as several other integrated sources. These reports are used throughout engineering and at the factory and launch site to enable ULA’s mission: America’s Ride to Space.
