Achieving Integrated Process & Product Excellence

The need for a good CM process is universal. As a minimum, it must be able to accommodate change and keep requirements clear, concise and valid. This essential capability is outside the scope of traditional CM and most CoTS solutions. CMII lifts CM out of engineering and gives it an enterprise-wide perspective. Its scope is expanded and its emphasis is shifted. Its scope includes all information that could impact security, safety, quality, schedule, cost, profit, or the environment.

The proper processes support by modern enabling solutions such as PLM provide the infrastructure to manage complex change, impacts, baselines, and effectivity.  For tangible IoT we must lower the degrees of separation between requirements, to enable change, and to keep requirements clear, concise, and valid.
