PLM World Board of Directors

A volunteer Board of Directors manages PLM World® in accordance with our bylaws. Board members are elected from the user community and each works for a company that owns Siemens PLM Software. The Board organizes the annual conference and oversees all major functions of PLM World. They develop the organization’s strategic plan and represent the membership through weekly conference calls and quarterly meetings.

Technical Organization

The charter of the PLM World® Technical Organization is to provide a forum for the exchange of technical information between PLM World®’s members and Siemens PLM Software development and marketing organizations. Special Interest Groups (SIG)

A Special Interest Group is a collection of one or more Technical Committees. SIGs represent functional areas rather than specific Siemens PLM Software application. SIGs are aligned with the Siemens PLM Software Product Line areas.

The following Special Interest Groups are currently recognized by PLM World®, Inc.

Focus Group

The purpose of a Focus Group is to represent a group of PLM World® members who are interested in a particular technical area that is not covered by an existing Special Interest Group and does not meet the requirements for a SIG status. A Focus Group may also represent a smaller group of PLM World® members who are interested in a process specific application or emerging technology offered by Siemens PLM Software not yet widely used by many users. Focus Groups may serve as the staging ground for forming a new Special Interest Group.
