From the Chairman

I hope everyone had a restful holiday season. 2018 is already shaping up to be an exciting time for PLM World and the entire Siemens user community. PLM World has hired staff members, Lester Cornelius and Kim Jump to help us with our educational content planning and business operations. Please feel free to drop them a line to say hello.

Erin Wander, our Community Engagement Strategist, is rolling out this newly designed newsletter, which will be delivered monthly. In this first issue, you will find information about the upcoming Siemens PLM Connection 2018 event in Phoenix, as well as our new Career Resource Center member benefit. We are excited about its potential to connect people within our industry through professional development opportunities.

As you look forward to Siemens PLM Connection - Americas 2018, please consider submitting an abstract for a presentation (deadline 1/31). The Agenda Committee is producing a fantastic agenda, but we are always looking for more content and wisdom from our user community. Attending and presenting at the event is a great way to build, and share, your knowledge about Siemens PLM tools, with others. It is also a great way to meet new people, across a variety of industry sectors, who share similar challenges and successes.

As we progress through 2018, we look forward to witnessing the growth and development of the Siemens PLM portfolio as manufacturing companies around the world begin to adopt the tools and practices needed to drive the digital enterprise. The digitalization of manufacturing is a key driver for the ongoing competitiveness of manufacturing companies around the world. How will your company adopt these methods and practices in the coming year?

Thank you all for being members of PLM World. Feel free to reach out and let us know how we are doing!!

My very best always,

Nate Hartman

PLM World Chairman
